Niagara Falls, Canada Good to Know
General - Niagara Falls is in Canada and New York state, with the Niagara River acting as the border. The Rainbow Bridge allows you to drive between the 2 sides. You will need to go through customs each way. You will need a passport or special Driver's License.

Language - English is official language.
Crime - Average. I never felt uncomfortable but always use common sense.
Money - Canadian Dollar, check exchange rate but a Canadian Dollar is about $0.75 USD. Credit cards are widely accepted.
Hint: Before you travel make sure you use a credit card that doesn't charge foreign transaction fees. There are a lot of them out there. Those can add up fast.
Water - Safe to drink.
Electricity -
Type A is the same as the US, it's the one that has the 2 flat pins.
Type B also same as in the US but it has the grounding pin.
Tipping - Restaurants typically 15-20%. Bartenders = $1 a drink.
Bathrooms - Same as US.
Driving - Similar to US but instead of MPH, it's km/h (kilometers). Know how to change your car before you cross the border.
