Last Hoorah - Aruba - 18 Jan 2024
It's my last day in Aruba. It's been a crazy trip. There was 1 thing I hadn't done yet. Maybe I saved the best for last? No but probably the tastiest.
Crystal, Deborah and I went to breakfast at King Fred and Princess Diana. This place looked so neat every time I drove by.

We found a table and immediately made a friend, who joined us for breakfast.

I did not share my latte with him. It was so good, I had 2 and it's not Starbucks. I ordered French pancakes with walnuts, brie and honey. Yummy!

I highly recommend this place. It was so good, pretty and service was terrific. Plus look how cute the check comes.
There was even a photo spot that we had to try out.

We dropped Deborah off at the airport. Crystal had not been to California Lighthouse yet, so we headed there next.

I didn't want to go to the top again, so I waited at the bottom. We even saw a pirate ship.

I had to go back and pack for my flight. When I got to the airport, it was closed. The A/C was out so they wouldn't let anyone inside. It was insane chaos. Nobody knew where to go. Finally, I was called in, and ended up walking over a mile in a snaking line and 2 hours 36 minutes after I arrived, I got to the gate. When you depart Aruba for the US, you go through Aruba and US customs in Aruba.
I did meet several people who have been coming to Aruba for over 20 years and this was a first. I felt the airport staff handled it well, even handing out water and snacks.

I am sad to be leaving, but really enjoyed my time in Aruba. The departing views were pretty.
