La Paz Day Trip - 6 Mar 2024 Part 1

Jillian Scribs

I dragged Jamie, Bre and Aubrey (they were the only willing ones) out of bed at 430am to drive to La Paz. I got this crazy idea to explore some of the Baja Peninsula and made a day trip out of it. This is one of the reasons Jamie is one of my favorite travel partners, I can talk her into anything, although it usually costs me time in a club.

Jamie drove, I navigated, and the girls slept. One little issue, the car headlights wouldn't work, so Jamie had to hold the brights on. The sunrise was so pretty.

The roads were really good. There are occasional speed bumps but very smooth. The toll booth also takes USD and credit cards. We arrived in La Paz early enough to grab Starbucks. Look at this road we took. It is right through a riverbed.

We made to La Paz waterfront area. It's a really long walkway along the water, very nice.

Parking was easy. We walked to a little park.

This walkway with lots of statues and benches.

Not sure who the people are but the oyster was huge.

No idea what this was about.

We are off for the next part of this adventure. Please read Part 2. Here is the route so far.
